Post subject: AVRI 62 strat without a date?Is it reasonable

The seller said it is 2012.When I took the neck off,I got no date(I checked the heel/bottom everywhere).Is it abnormal or something?

IF.. Only IF, i were you. I would have gotten a different guitar; but only if im not PLEASED with how it sounds or how it feels. If it feels good and sounds good i dont see a reason to return it. (:

Acturally,It sounds not bad.But I've really never played a 62 reissue and don't know what it should sound like.About how it feel,it got to be set as high action if needed to avoid the fret buzz.
I doubt if they make the last 62s quickly without serious quality control just before they start building the new American Vintage series.

I wish I could help, every vintage reissue I have had apart had the date stamps. but other than that everything looks legit. its possible its been rubbed off. the date stamp on mine is very faint
have you taken a peek under the pick guard yet?

Mine is a 2011 model. And yes they will reply, but depending on how many emails they receive they can get a little behind. They always reply though.
