Well....since things are looking up finally, I have just succumbed to a GAS attack or more specifically....
I have been looking at this black Aerodyne Strat for a couple of months or more,
why it hasn't been adopted up till now is beyond my comprehension but it will be home in a couple of weeks..... If anyone is wondering there is a couple of You-tube vids by Scott Grove on this particular guitar.....( I disagree with some of his criticisms of Fender ) but the guy has some righteous ( a-la spicoli ) gear.

Sweetest thing....... I can see your GAS-attack Pics when it arrives !? Some years ago I came across one of those in transparent blue in a local store - but did not know much about Fender Japan at that time . I was there looking at it several times , and when I finally had decided to buy it , it was gone One of my big regrets
Later I have bought an ordinary tele thinline MIJ ('69RI) - and I am very pleased with it. In fact - I put on new strings on it a couple of hours ago , and just played it for an hour.... Yes , it is the head of that one beneath here - in the signature field

Funny you should mention the transparent blue one, I had put one on layaway at one of the local stores I've been frequenting for twenty years and they sold it. ( we couldn't find your number ) but only for it to reappear two weeks later at the GC in Warwick.
This time I won't let this one go, I have only seen 3 so they are quite uncommon or I suspect those who have one do not let them go.

On this One I will do a few changes, minor and cosmetic, I will change the parts to Gold from the chrome which is existing and I may see if Gotoh's mini inline 510 tuners will fit...

These 1st two images are pulled off of Google so they are not very clear but this is the black with a pickguard but they are also ( remotely available without pick guards )







This is the one I missed, perhaps it will resurface someday...

Seems like the blue is cursed ,then Just the one I missed. Well , they are certainly some beauties.... And I am sure that the gold hardware will come to its rights with that black one . This must be the ultimate guitar for gold HW ! Talking 'bout tuxedo !
