Why several people selling the body of John Mayer Strato Artist series?

Is the seller take the neck out and put it in other black strato, or Cypress mica green and sell them as limited 500 pieces.?

I do have Black 1(not the realic), Cyprress mica green. How to verify if my units are original Limited 500 pieces.

There are "People" who buy guitars just to part them out (sell for spare parts) for a profit as parts of a guitar end up selling for a lot more than buying the whole guitar outright.
