I waited for more than a month for these pick ups to get shipped to Guitar Center and then finally to me only to find out I cannot complete the replacement . My guitar is torn apart on the kitchen table and I am not a happy customer at the moment.

I am hopeful that I can have Fender send me a correctly built Super 55 Bridge PU directly.

Does anyone know how I can go about getting my brand new pick up replaced direct?
This is a manufacturing defect I think fender would want it back for QA purposes.

I am looking for a phone number or email address so I can talk with someone directly.
GC is not going to fix this besides..I have two of the three PUs installed in the guitar.

What do you mean GC isn't going to fix this? If the product is wrong, return to place of purchase for a refund.

I just discovered this tonight. GC is not in this discussion. I want to give Fender a chance to obtain a factory defective PU quickly and get me a quick turnaround on a PU. I have waited for 30 days for Fender to produce it and get it to GC.
the idea here is to get Fender to ship me the 1 of 3 pieces and let me be on my way. GC is going to want me to wait another 30 days while they reorder the PUs.

I am confident GC will take care of it but I don't want to wait another 30 days.

Oh and it is missing the rail magnets that the other two PUs had as well.
It is like they left the last two steps of off of the mfg process before they went through QA (:)).

Call or Send an email to fender support. I've worked with Jeff Krause before, Good guy. You will still likely have to deal with an authorized factory repair center to get a replacement. Tough Luck, I'd be P.O'd too

Yeah, the excitement of getting them has worn off and the lustre is sort of fading. Now I am just trying to get my guitar reassembled. I guess I am fortunate enough to have a Tele on hand to keep me playing. I just dulls the experience when this sort of thing happens.

Fender's accessory warranty (which includes pickups) clearly states that you are to return defective items directly to the place of purchase:

I am very happy to report that Fender is going to send me the replacement PU directly.
I just need to send the old one to them with the receipt. GC was happy to make me a copy of the receipt.

This is good customer service all the way. I am a happy camper now.

Why not fix it yourself. Its not that big of a deal. If you know how to install the p/u,s then getting a screw to thread in isn,t that hard to do. Or wait 30 days
