After listening to a lot of music I honestly think this is probably one of the best clean sounds:

I know Elvis Costello had a Jazzmaster, amp wise I'm not sure what he used. Currently my set-up is a Fender American Deluxe Strat with SCN's and a VOX AC30C2. Is it possible to get this sound with my set-up, or does anyone know exactly what equipment he used. I tried looking on the internet, but couldn't find anything.

Well, when you play, does it sound like that or not?

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.

Yeah I know it's kind of a stupid question. I more or less really wanted to know what elvis costello used on that recording. As far as my sound I think it's a little on the darker side. Also sounds more smooth and less punchy.

Thats a tough call. In the studio who really knows what he used. Might not even be a Jazzmaster. I have seen him use Matchless amps on live shows so you might get close to his live sound. However for the tone on that particular song youre probably just gonna have to keep twiddling those knobs until you get something that sounds close to it.

Good luck.

Yeah that's what I figured. I hate getting into these tone quests 'cause it usually involves buying stuff lol.
