Pedals that is...

I am VERY new here...

But my wife wants to buy me 2 pedals to go with my new FSR '57 Stratocaster for our Anniversary...

Amp = Mustang III...

Music = Classic Rock, Chicago & Delta Blues, some Jazz...

I'm thinkin' Fulltone OCD and Dunlop Crybaby Wah...

Encourage/dissuade me...

Got to report back to the War Dept. by Friday, so any advice (including alternatives) is appreciated...

TIA !!

cheers!

tc electronics DREAMSCAPE pedal (chorus/flanger/tremolo) + T-REX Replica (delay)

given, that there's a good reverb built in the amp!

If not, I couldn't do without my tc electronics Hall Of Fame reverb pedal!!
In that case I'd skip my T-REX Replica and have the reverb and the Dreamscape!

If you're looking for a n overdrive, look into the Radial Texas Bones. I can't say enough good things about it. As for your other pedal, see if you can get a Loop pedal in the deal :D

WOW your wife wants you to buy 2 pedals. Well TS808 original, Fulltone OCD (1 version) or and early 83 TS 9 for Distortion and a Boss DD2. There are so many.
Good Luck

Can't go wrong with the OCD. I've tried a ton of Overdrives and OCD is still my favorite. OCD gives me the best strat tone that I have ever had.

I also love to have a Fuzz pedal around. The Big Muff Pi is a great pedal that will get you fuzz tones to cover a lot of ground, everything from the Black Keys to Smashing Pumpkins. If you like to get really experimental, give the Zvex Fuzz Factory a try.

Yep... You told me it would happen...

Still, I have this Big Empty labled ' Stratocaster ' nestled somewhere between my ears, and this Forum is really helping to fill it up...

Therein lies the conflict: I HATE being at the bottom of the Learning Curve, but am oh, so, enjoying the Journey up the Hill... !!

Thanks All,

cheers!
