I'm new here - this is my first post. Recently was doing some work on a 1980 (81?) Stratocaster - there are stamps/markings in the neck pocket: "FRR 30" and "FRR 32". Does anyone know what the significance of these is?

Hi wingobingo,
Those were the inspection stamps we used in Fullerton.
FRR is Fender Rogers Rhodes (like my pic).
I still have one of mine at home.....and i can't remember which number was actually mine...no matter...was someone elses before me.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
rob

Ahh, that's right, CBS did own Rogers Drums. Didn't Yamaha eventually buy "intellectual property rights" of Rogers?

Stop...Please...I can't breathe....

I have no idea, however one of these days i think I should start a thread for us older ( slightly ) depicting what we looked/dressed like as Newbs early in those anything is possible momentsof being 17-19.......Although I could seriously regret that...but... it would be hilariously classic

(edit) Actually kind of reminds me of a Doobie Brother's or Three Dog Night.... :?:

(2nd edit) I zoomed in to that avatar.....  Are those pants like the blue with yellow stripes that the Union Cavalry used to wear in those John Wayne Movies....???
You must get along great with Joe Walsh... :?:

Thanks Rob - I figured that it was some kind of inspection stamp. And, I think the hair description of Doobie Brothers or Three Dog Night is pretty great!
