Visited a 2nd hand store a few days ago and found an MIJ E series Strat sn indicates early to mid '80's. Baby blue color with Tortise Shell pick guard and rosewood fretboard. Floyd Rose bridge and nut setup and sounds REALLY good. The store owner has it priced way too high at $650. My local indie tells me $350 to $500 tops. Haven't been back but can't seem to shake it..... dang.

In this economy,Really? Give him/her the facts on the going rate. I did this on a MIM Strat a few days ago they, wanted $350 and I got them down to $200 by asking them to look on craig's List to see what they(Strats) are going for used....it worked! Most people don't know how to price stuff to sell. They, always think they have a gold mine or something RARE!
