My sales engineer at Sweetwater is like this too. Also good at finding answers to some difficult questions about recording and mic'ing techniques.

Thanks everyone for your input. This thread really is making me seriously consider ordering from Sweetwater. Sounds like a cool experience being able to see your exact guitar online and converse with the same sales rep. Very cool.

Now my big problem is making a decision between either the HSS American Standard or the SSS. The big bummer though is that the HSS version does not come in Charcoal Frost. So if I do HSS I'll probably go with the Jade Pearl Metallic.

Has anyone here every bought a guitar from proguitarshop.com ? I'd like to know about your experiences there too.

I have the HSS American Deluxe - an incredible guitar. More flexibility when you are playing live with the humbucker in the bridge position.

well i believe both guitars have a humbucker route in the bridge so the strat being what it is you can change it later
