:? I'm about to re-wire one of my FAT Strat projects and I'm trying to decide if using two DPDT's (one volume, one mid tone) will work correctly.
So far I've drawn up a specified diagram using the volume pot DPDT to Series/Parallel switch the Bridge Humbucker.
The big question is installing a second DPDT (most likely the mid tone pot) and trying to wire it to get the additional pickup selections from the switch (Bridge & neck, all three pickups,etc.).
Can anyone give me some advice as to whether or not my idea will work?

It will work provided you run a ground wire among the pots and the pickup selector switch.

 Perhaps you could help me some more? I've got another project Strat (SSS). I've checked everything and done a complete rewire. I can't get the darn thing to GROUND!
You know the buzz you get if you touch the HOT end of the amp cord, well as soon as I plug the cord in the whole guitar buzzes like that! :o
I've double checked my wiring and can't find anything wrong (per Fender wiring diagrams). Before I rewired it, all it would do was buzz. Since my rewire I get the tones from the pickups but, the buzz overrides the tones! :?
The only parts I still used from the original 'Buzz' guitar are the two tone pots (one with a .047 cap) and the EMG designed pickups that came with the body. Any suggestions?

The cap is irrelevant.

I'd really have to eyeball the wiring to be sure but based on your complaint, the most common cause for this problem is the lead wires to the output jack being reversed.

 Did the trick! I feel stupid. I don't understand how I could have overlooked it. Found the problem in my schematic copies. Guess I'll have to go through them all and change the way the wires are drawn.
THX again.

By the way it plays beautifully for a project job. Just have to work on the action & intonation a bit.

Don't feel stupid. If ANYONE here tells you they NEVER botched a wiring job in their life, I can say to you with 100% certainty that they are LYING!

Of course, you're welcome and I'm glad you are enjoying your project. Keep on keeping on!
