Yes, I like to keep it original.
Anyway this guitar is for home use only :)

Also I'm a Stevie fan, if he wanted to have his name on his signature guitar like that I have to respect that.

Some people don't like that pickuard, that's understandable... change the thing then, no problem, everybody does with his guitars what he wants. I don't care if you eat it :)

But I pitty the fool that says playing with that pickguard is equal to pretending to be Stevie because ... although there are a lot of dumb f###s on this planet, nobody can be ever that stupid to really believe he can pretend to be Stevie, right ?

Wait a minute ... Einstein :
"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."

Ok, let's say it's possible ... but really really improbable )

So when we assume that the chance is really really improbable somebody is THAT stupid we can also assume that somebody playing with that pickguard is not pretending to be Stevie :)
So that should not be a reason to remove it.

But ofcourse, a really good reason to change the pickguard would be if you have a really big shoe size... but that's just logical, everybody knows that.

Hi 4ntiClock: congrats on the purchase.

Since you plumped for the SRV do tell us how that left-hand whammy feels under your hand? I've never tried it myself, but heard contradictory views about that feature.

Cheers - C

Hej,

thanks, here's what I think of it :
For testing I remembered that I had to put in the whammy, so I've put it in.
And then I completely forgot it was there :)
I tried palm muting... no problem.
Now I'm not a big whammy user, but I think the adjustment for me will be easy to none.

Maybe for someone who is already a heavy whammy addict and has been playing for years and years it could take longer to adjust... no idea.

Anyway I like it, not because it's easier or harder, but just because it's a wink to my 2 favorite guitar gods :)

grtz

I like the pickguard. It's just that at gigs or jams, the initials may be a burdon. I'd definitely keep it on at home if I had one. In fact I still want one. My mate bought one of the first run. It must have been about "90. They're great, enjoy yours.
Goodonya ...Mark.
