I'm having trouble identifying this strat. I know from the serial number that it is in fact, an american made. But I'm not sure exactly which model. Whether it be an american standard, or an american deluxe, or a classic. Notice it has the large 70's model headstock. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!

Maybe a modded highway one? It's not an american standard

That's what I was afraid of. I'm supposed to be trading my ESP LTD EC-1000 for it this weekend. But I'm gonna go by a local music shop and see what they would allow me for a trade in on a new American Standard on both the LTD and the guitar in the picture and see which would get me the better deal.

Send an e-mail to consumerrelations@fender.com with the serial number they should be able to give you the info you need, as JasonSD suggests could be a modded Highway 1.
