I love how my middle pickup sounds after having it bypassed from the tone control, now I'd like to be able to bypass the tone control on my bridge and neck pickups.

I know this comes standard in some models as the No-Load Tone Control, but I'm wondering how I would do it on my MIM Strat without installing a toggle switch but still being able to use the tone control if and when I want to...

Thanks in advance!

A No-load tone control is a direct replacement for a standard tone control. Unsolder the normal tone control and solder the no-load pot to the exact same wires. At "10" on the dial it is out of the circuit. At "9" and below it acts like a normal tone control.

Does the no load tone control have a detent that you can feel when turned to the 10 position? :?: :?:

Thanks Bill, one of my Fender mia Strats has the no load control and I was not aware of it. I had felt the detent on the tone control but never checked to see what it was. It does make a pronounced difference on the bridge PU's sound.

I can't stand a Strat (or Tele) bridge pickup without a tone control.
