I rewired my strat so that I only have one volume and one tone control. I'm also running with 2 SCN pickups and a hot rail in the bridge.

Everything worked fine until I decided to put a push/pull volume pot in to allow me to get a single coil tone out of my humbucker, which I successfully did.

My problem is that now my volume and tone switches are both functioning as tone controls. I followed this schematic to the letter:
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wi ... v_1t_5w_pp

Should I cut the black jump wire that goes from one of the push/pull contacts and is grounded to the pot? The third contact leg on the push/pull pot in the schematic is bent in on itself and looks like it's soldered to the pot (which I didn't do)...would this be the issue? I can't think of anything else that would fix the problem or anything else that might be causing the push/pull to act as a tone control.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Nope - I do all my own work. If it works out, I save a bundle, and if it gets screwed up, I've only got me to blame. This is the first issue I've had, though.

The 3 lug should be soldered to the pot. It is a ground!

I would e-mail seymore about it; tell him exactly what you have (I diagram would be great!) and see what they say...

CaFeathers - Thanks, man! I ran a short jump wire from the 3rd pot lug and grounded it to the side of the pot. Now the volume works like a volume and the tone works like a tone. Your advice was much, much appreciated!
