Slow down, Hoss.

You say don't know what an adjustable bridge is, you feel compelled to ask how to clean your brand new guitar, and you're already thinking about swapping pickups?

I am beginning to suspect that you're just making conversation for the sake of it. If that's NOT the case, then I'd suggest you learn how the guitar sounds the way it is before you start hacking away at it.

I agree with what Jim said, and furthermore, if you try to browse the forums you'll easily find thirty or fourty topics called "which pickups should I use, I play this and that etc." and they are all answered in the same way: It's all in your ears and nothing we on this forum say can guarantee that you'll be satisfied. Tone is all about personal preference.

And please don't flame up whenever you are contradicted..

Hey they aren't cars. A little bit of milage on a guitar may be a good thing. Give the guitar some time and like many have said learn the sound of it figure out what you like about the current sound and tone you're getting and build on it. You never know you may end up not having to replace them at all.

May not fit because of the spacings but if you ask someone at the store if they offer anythat sound similar such as the sd pearly gates they may can give you some options. Also look around the net and visit other pick ups web pages

Both of those pickups have wb sites with souond bites. It's a good place to get started but dont not consider fender they do have some good humbuckers as well

Gibson pickups won't fit right. Some Duncan's won't either! The Duncan '59 won't fit correctly. It will fit but it will sit right on the wood. No room for adjustments and I don't recommend that to anybody. I personally like Duncans. I think they are a better all around pickup. Nothing against DiMarzio's but just a lil too bright for me on the high end. You may want to consider Suhr or Bill Lawerence pickups also. Lots of other manufacturers as well that make quality pickups.

If you wanted a really hot pickup in the bridge I would go with a Duncan JB or Custom 5, middle pickup maybe a JB or Hot Rails, neck maybe a Lil '59 or Cool Rails. Lots of options to be had. Good luck with the mod!
