showmaster tremelo arm, where to buy?

I just recently bought a used Fender showmaster Strat and it did not have the tremelo arm. I have been looking around and figured out that Fender makes three diffferent sizes of trem arms but I dont know which one is the right one. The guitar has smoked/dark chrome bridge, pup surrounds, locking tuners and I assume the tremelo arm is supposed to be smoked as well. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Is this the Showmaster you purchased:

MINT Fender Showmaster Quilt HH with hardshell case, Tube Screamer and tuner
The only issues that I can gauge are as follows: 1) The tremolo bar that came with it wasn't the original one, but a silver Showmaster tremolo bar can be acquired rather easily in the marketplace. 2) The metal on the tremolo and pickup rings is slightly discolored due to age.

no but I looked at it. I bought one that has a slight ding on the back. It had a bin price of 399 free shipping and I offered 350 for it. I still have not figured out how to post pics with this format or I would post a pic of it and my other Fender special edition spalted maple tele.

you need to resize your pictures to approx 1000x800.
I do 777x555

Then you need to get a photobucket type strorage service.

Then you copy the photobucket direct link to this page and surround it
by the "img" link when you click on one of the above icons.

Isn't the trem bar for a showmaster the same as any standard Fender v-trem?

For some reason, I believe I read somewhere this year
that there are three different sized whammy bars for Strats.
Not sure how that pans out, but if so, your search will be easier.

gorgeous showmaster xenophobe! I saw the thread on that one the other day. I know a fender squier trem arm does not fit. I guess I could order all 3 but that seems kinda wasteful. I guess that or buying a whole showmaster trem setup just to get the bar is what I might have to do if I cant find the specs on it.

There are at least five Fender parts sellers on EBay
and you can take your sample or guitar to Guitar Center stores.

Regarding the EBay sellers, they have helped me get the right parts,
numerous times. They do not want returns.

Taking your guitar to gutiar center and checking it out
or having a clerk order it for you, you can always return it.

Thanks for the info toppscore! The closest guitarcenter is 150 miles away but I do travel to that town from time to time. Guess I could call them and see if they can help me over the phone too. Thanks again!

called two music stores and got nowhere. one told me to call allparts.com and they would for sure have it. well they didnt have anything that looked like the bridge I have which is the same as my squier with the 2 pivot points instead of bolted down but I already know that trem is the wrong size for my bridge.

Welp! Time to buy a new guitar or tremolo system.
Things happen.
I once heard about a car that needed a new engine.
Consider yourself lucky, as you get to practice making tremolo sounds
with your fretboard chords and finger pushes

Well my buddy has an american made strat and it has the same saddles and everything but his tremelo arm is a snap in. keep on keeping on, I will find it somewhere...

Sometime, you just gotta make it a mission and put it on the backburner.
Things will come.
You will have your guitar when driving by a huge guitar store
and will be able to make comparison. Maybe a big "USED" guitar store.
