I've never seen one of those things before, but it looks like a really difficult way to learn guitar. :?

Ok, I have one of these so I'll give you my thoughts....:

First, 150L is pure nickel, right ? I think you should take Nickel Plated Steel, as the pickup is no ordinary pickup and has an ingame function of strum detection. No steel could mean less/no detection, and the manual states at page 11 to use NPS for optimum tracking results.

Second, you can try to get the pickup closer to the strings with the screws on the sides.

Third, if you dare to open the back there are color coded pots in case only one of teh strings doesnt detect the strum.

I wouldn't bother going to a luthier or anything. For example Laenen in Oosterhout doesn't even know the thing exists. They might screw it up, since they have no idea of the electronics inside. (and yes, they are certified Fender)

Good luck :)

Like I told the OP: READ THE MANUAL.

String requirements are on the bottom of page 11 and the top of page 12. Pickup adjustments are described on page 14. Adjustment of internal electronics is probably not a good idea unless you have proper instructions.

Ah, no.

While it is not a Custom Shop guitar, it is still a real product. Not something I would ever consider owning, but if the OP needs help with it, we should try and help him as best as we can. In this case, the great majority of his questions can be answered by a simple read of the owner's manual.

Sorry if I was ignorant and not very polite - but I was REALLY sure it was a joke
- and I am still willing to learn something new. I won't be chocked if I someday in near future will be a granddad - then this could be useful   - and I hope the OP finds out of it. Glad you guys are a bit more updated :D

And I thought all those All-in-one beginner kit guitars were a riot! This is a whole different level of fun!

Update: i've replaced all the strings for the nps from the book.

Still it does not strum only if you smack the $@!& out of it,

I dont know how to setup the bridge but someone on youtube had a fender (not this one, but a different stratocaster) and messured 2mm from the 12th fret, mine is like 1mm from the 12th fret.

I think that is the problem

Thanks for the help.

PS: For the ones who wonder, it is not really difficult to practice songs as you can see on your tv what chords, etc you should do. its a fun way to practice. its not 100% accurate it cant change a teacher but its pretty good, and a fun way to learn the basics, if you can manage to play songs on expert that is the real tab, pretty cool

Ahaa! Now I'm getting a bigger/better picture of this ! Looks like you are describing troubles with neck relief / truss rod
Then I suggest you study that theme here :
http://www.fender.com/en-NO/support/art ... etup-guide
Sounds like fun , despite I did not know anything about games / guitar :D Good luck!

Did you bother to read the two references I provided you with earlier? They tell you exactly how to adjust the bridge and neck. Your owner's manual tells you exactly what height to set the string action to and how to set intonation. The bridge saddle height is adjusted by turning the two saddle adjustment screws until you reach the desired action as described in your owner's manual. It is not rocket science and should be pretty obvious.

That is straight out of the owner's manual that I provided to the OP at the very beginning of this thread. He claims to have read it, but clearly does not understand what he needs to do. I've tried to explain in my last post how to adjust the saddles, but it does not seem to sink in.

:D Maybe you are being too harsh ,now Bill  If the OP is new to guitar playing / set-up , it is not always easy to understand what is going on  But I guess that he now HAS to listen to you ( and me ) Cheers !

It gets a little aggravating saying the same thing over and over and over: RTFM
