So i deciced to replace all the strings after 1 broke down on my Rock Band 3 Stratocaster guitar.

So i bought myself Fender strings 09-42 150L, replaced the strings great., i wanted to practice some guitar again on my xbox while using a real guitar.

So now i came to this problem, when ever i press a fret, does not matter where it just sees it as supposed to be. very good,

But when i try to strum it does not work, (if you strum VERY hard it does) the guitar is set in tune.

Perhaps i got to thin set of strings?

Can anyone help me out with this

Thank you

Colin

I'm not sure anyone here has experience with that type of gear to offer useful advice...

yea I wasn't aware it even existed  I would have to have it in my hands to really trouble shoot that one for you..... but just looking at the stock photos it appears to be a synth access type setup, so do you have a battery in it anywhere? it could possibly have a low/dead battery.
if you could upload some decent photos i may be able to help a bit more.

Yes, it does have batteries i replaced them in the first place as the fender manual also announced that.

But that did not work, it does strum if you like almost use your super human hulk powers.

Someone from the rockband forums said it could be the bridge setup, (but i dont know how to set that up) but i got a couple of pictures,

The 6th string is off at the moment, but it did not work while the 6th string was in place.

That dampening pad may be the culprit, it is possible since you reduced string size that it is applying touch pressure on them. Does the felt pad have any adjustment? If not you will have to rais the saddles a little to compensate. This is just a guess though, that is a strange animal

Did you bother to read the owner's manual?

Yes ofcourse i've looked there, they adviced me to replace the batteries, but that did not help, it could not help because just 1 minute before i replaced my strings it worked perfecly, i think it has somethign to do with the bridge setup.

But how can i setup the bridge? can anyone guide me a video fo someone adjusting it?

You obviously didn't read far enough because pages 11 through 14 detail the setup procedure for the guitar. If you need more information, then read this.

http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... etup-guide

The action and intonation adjustments apply the same to your guitar as they do to a real instrument. If those adjustments are beyond your capability, take it to a Fender service center.

Hmm, alright, i'll take it to a guitar shop as there is no fender repair center near me in the netherlands.

I bet they can adjust the bridge, hope this solve the problems, thanks
