I can stand the heat I have been doing relic work for 10 years, you should see the bashing when I was approached to relic a Sadowsky Bass.

Anyways here is a couple pics with the new pickguard.

Love the new pickguard. As I mentioned, one of the more tastefully relic jobs I've seen in a while. Looks nice.

I like it. It's fun. I would love to see a dark green surf guitar done in your style.
I have a buddy who sells to Fender Custom Shop special Strat & Tele bodies.

Welcome to the forum, but I'm sorry I'm another one who equates relicing to vandalism,so your starting off with a bang ended up being more like a fart in a tornado. Although I've seen a lot of Les Pauls and other Gibson products with heavy checking like your Strat,I've never seen a Fender guitar with that degree of checking and I own three '65 Fenders-a Strat,a Jaguar and a Mustang and none of them have anywhere that much checking.Even 50s Fenders I've seen have had much less checking. So to paraphrase others-whatever turns your crank and keeps you satisfied.

I like the look even though I know that sort of checking wouldn't happen on a paint job like that. Still looks neat.

Somewhere in the history of all Fender guitars,
there is one guitar with the most checking of all guitars
and one guitar with the least issues of any guitar.

Somewhere somehow within some Fenderland pipe dream
of faraway "guitar case reality" is a very real Fender Stratocaster
so thoroughly Checked it will Checkmate our OPs Checking

What's the possibility I have not seen supreme checking :?:

It's a unique looking strat. It's missing something though IMO - not sure what.
