Hello to all my fellow Fender Freaks out there, just wanted to say hello as I am new here. I just started to get back into playing about a year ago, used to play everyday about 3 or 4 hours a day until I got ripped off and lost all my gear and was devistated, then life happened got married had kids and could never seem to get the funds to aquire new gear until recently. But I'm back now and loving it! although at times it can be frustrating because I know what to do in my head but my hands don't want to cooperate. Anyway hello and I look forward to lots of fun and informative discussions on the boards.

You're quite welcome. And no biggie, ALL of us here were 'noobs' at one time or another!

the hands will catch up. I went through this too, minus the stolen gear, after the kids grew up a bit, I started playing again, and formed a band...just keep at it. Welcome aboard.

Welcome from a new member here, myself.

The hands will catch up with the head
(you guys make up your own dirty jokes for that!)
soon enough.

I take a week off from playing and I feel a slight lag
for the first half hour or so.

Welcome to the forum. I know I took a hiatus from 1993 to 2001 and it took me almost a year to get back to the level I was playing before the break. Practice, practice, practice and you will soon be back to the level you were at soon.

I think I've heard this kind of story before , right here on this very Forum  -not unlike my own, except that I've always kept throwing ''small pieces of wood'' to the flame -to keep it burning :D Keep on rocking that strat

Your story (minus the stolen gear) is definitely common these days, OP. I just started back about a year ago myself after a 35(!) year 'break'. You definitely forget a few things, lol! but it's coming back slowly.
One thing that's REALLY changed things for me is what's available on the net. Tons of free lessons, guitar tabs, videos, forums for advice, etc. We're all living in a golden age now as guitarisits. :)
