Do you think the spaghetti logo should be reserved for reissues and American guitars? This would create a sort of a sub brand. I have a $400 Marauder with the spaghetti logo, and I love the guitar and the spaghetti logo looks good on the '70s style Strat headstock, but a part of me thinks the spaghetti logo should be reserved for higher end Fenders.

Not all American Fenders use the spaghetti style decals.

For example the MK signature and the recent American Vintage '65 Strat, Jazzmaster and Jaguar had a gold transitional decal on their headstocks while the American Special series and some Custom Artist guitars share the infamous bold CBS-style logo.

Ironically (and on a tangent), I remember when CBS took over Fender. The big headstock became prevalent along with the big and bold 'new' Fender logo on many of the established instruments in the line. We wanted the CBS stuff because of the above, shying away from the 'old' stuff with the small headstocks and 'modest' logo because it was conservative by comparison and now (then) "passe" . It's the old story: If we only knew then what we know now.
