What is this, your fourth or fifth thread on this subject?

It's all right here on this very website.

Just above here, click on "Support," then "Set-up Guides," then "Stratocaster," and all will be revealed.

http://www.fender.com/support/stratocaster.php

If you read this doc and it seem a bit beyond your skill set, then take your guitar to a good technician and say, "Set this up for me." It should cost 30 to 40 dollars, and (if the guy is any good) the guitar will play great.

Hello Fender Strat,

I see you all over the forum with questions about your Strat.
Nothing wrong with that, but my advice is to buy a book about the
Stratocaster. ''The Fender Stratocaster'' byA.R.Duchossoir is the one
i have, also read the Strat setups on the Fender site.
We guitar players have different ways to set-up our guitars so you
get many answers to one question.

Peter

Hey we're not tech support but we'll be glad to help you out anyway we can. Like the tag says underneath the stratocaster forum button this is a place to shoot the breeze. Be patient if any of us can help we will. And about the g string, make sure you stretch your strings and are using a good cable. I once had a bad buzz, bought a new cable and it instantly went away. but like I said we're not tech support so wait for some other answers and try them out.

Go for Graphtech saddles.
Fender saddles are known for loose screws and buzzing noises.
Also there is a product called Locktite, put some on your height
adjusment screws.

Good luck,

Peter

Did you read the rest of this guy's posts? There is no problem with his saddles (or any Fender saddles, while we're on it), Graphtech's won't fix this guy's problem, and he doesn't need to buy anything: he needs to learn some basic stuff about how his guitar works. He doesn't even know what "adjustable bridge" means, and has probably already broken a spring or something (he was goofing with the trem when it made a huge popping sound and went horribly out of tune).

Fender Strat,, you've got some studyin' up to do.

Yes i've read some of his posts, thats why i'd adviced him to buy a book or
read the set-up info on the Fender site.

I found a great book that might help... at Border's bookstore:

Fender Stratocaster Handbook: How to Buy, Maintain, Set up, Troubleshoot, and Modify Your Strat

It's $25, but it helped answer a lot of questions for me.

The Guitar Player Repair Guide by Dan Erlewine is the book
that helped me a lot.

its tough man, speakin for myself and im sure others out there but i work full time and go to school full time, i really don't have time to start reading books about strats or lookin through set up guides. If i had the time i'd love to but there's plenty of other stuff on the plate, some of this stuff is just common sense to you guys but for a lot of us we've never gotten into modifying our guitars or read the books on how to...so we don't understand it completely....and we're kinda hopin someone like you guys can help us so we can get to that point, don't knock someone for not understandin something, help him out...give a man a fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime 8)
