This is normal, putting tension on when tuning to pitch tightens the POST.

I was thinking the same as Lostinthedesert. I know that when I take my strings off, if I grab the post, it will wiggle back and forth......however....once the strings are back on......the don't move at all. I figured that was normal and never worried about it.

Is it the same thing for the sadles because I noticed my sadles were a little loose when I was changing my strings?

You might want to check that the nut on the face of the headstock is tight as well.. that is if you have the nuts attaching the tuners at the front or face of the headstock.

I've tightened these many times over the years with my strats... not too tight though... good and snug.
