Hi All, A 56 nos on ebay quotes 'reverse trem' can anyone explain, the ash tray cover is in place on photos so i can't see if the trem hole is top/bottom of block if this is what is meant by reverse

even with the cover on, the arm hole should still be visible. if you could post a picture i could tell you if it is reversed or not.

you are looking for this part sticking out on either the left or right side.

The ashtray does not cover the Trem hole where the bar screws in. If you cannot see the trem bar's hole just above the knobs then it should be visible on the other side of the bridge, the trem's baseplate should be longer on that side thus you have a reverse tremolo..

thanks guys, i had a reply from seller who said ' its like a normal trem arm pointing in the other direction, like a leftie trem on a r/h guitar' why anyone would want this i don't know !

Most of us don't either, SRV used the rev. trem to good effect, Hendrix, well he flipped the guitar upside down so that is just the way it worked.....

It's something you will either have to get used to or not....
