Ok - this is NOT my guitar, I just found this online and really liked the Chrome job the fellah did.

So, I was thinking of doing the same thing to my pickguard, volume knobs and switch but I don't know how this will effect the push/push button - i have found chrome s1 switches - no dice on the push/push button (does anyone actually use that thing - it's neat but kinda seems gimmicky all around and the placement is odd, it would be better at the top of the volume knob if you ask me)

As for the pickups, I am really unsure, I dig the les paul/telecaster looks of that chrome covered humbucker - but i may want to keep my single coil in the neck- or go for a seymor duncan Jb Jr in the neck... having 3 humbuckers looks ridiculous IMO... so does 2 humbuckers and a single coil... esthetically, it's 2 humbuckers, or go for hot rails style humbuckers... aaghhh... so many choices...

anyways, just kind of floating ideas around, wanted to get some other peeps opinions, thanks !

No chrome for me..OCD thing the fingerprints would make me crazier than I already am..I had a black EPI SG that showed every smidgeon of dirt..I can only picture the chrome in my mind..lol..But ultimately you are the one that has to like it..

With the black and chrome I was kind of picturing this:

I grew up playing a Telecaster that looked just this, except the neck pickup was a chrome plated humbucker, I guess I am just feeling a bit nostalgic

Did the humbucker is splittable?

With a 5-way super switch you can get the best of both worlds...

Black pickguard.

That chrome pickguard on that silver guitar looks great, but it would look cheap and tacky on a tobaccoburst, IMO.
