Hello, I am a new forum guest. regarding strat plus'. In 1989 my Wife bought me a Strat Plus, I had been looking at , at a local Music store, here in Cincinnati Ohio. Back then I was a Gibson Guy. * Still do both. As is the case with most musicians, money got tight and I had to sell it. It was a scarce color, Pewter, with rosewood fretboard. I regretted selling it and had been looking for one the last 10 years or so, untill last week. I bought one. I am trying to verify if it is really my old one? If its not, its a Brother !Fender does not keep records from that long ago. The Music store doesn't either. I am wondering if anyone knows how many Pewter ones were made in 88 , 89 and 90. * according to Fender thats the only years they made it, till they used it on the Re Issue Clapton Model?? Buy the way, folks, Don't sell the guitar your Wife Buys you! Keith

I was able to find an OLD pic of the old strat, taken for Insurance reasons and I was able to read the serial number, with a magnifying glass. The new one is 349 numbers newer. How many strats a day do you think Fender cranks out?? Its a close Relative. That is as close as I think I will ever get. Twang!
PS, take good pictures and keep receipts and serial numbers on all your guitars, I have had several stolen over the years and it helps when dealing with the Insurance People. Be sure to add your guitars on your renters, or homeowners policy. Its cheap, and , believe me, when they get gone and they are not covered , its the biggest Bummer of them all.
