Hey guys, if I'm using "Fender 57 Reissue Stratocaster Made In Japan Since 1993" to play some Slash's songs like Sweet Child O' Mine, November Rain, etc. Which guitar effect pedal would you guys suggest me to buy? Please be specific on which model exactly, thank you very much!! BTW I'm kind of on a limited budget.. Would be best if the effect pedal isn't expensive but has good quality and worth buying! Cheers

I like Digitech pedals. I've had an RP5 for many years now. You can go to a retailer's website and see which one fits your price range. Even the cheapest Digitech processor sounds great.

I have two pedals from Digitech, and they are both simply wonderful. I have the Digitech RP100, which is discontinued, but still available on eBay and perhaps direct from Digitech. It is a great pedal, but since I got my new one, I don't play through it much, because the pedal I got a few months ago changed everything.
The Digitech RP255 is a simply fantastic pedal is an amazing multieffects processor complete with extras. I got mine at the Guitar Center in Jacksonville, Florida. I think they are available at just about every GC. I also saw one at the GC in Tulsa. This is the finest pedal I have ever had the fortune to own, and worth every penny. I picked it up for just above $200, and am extremely glad I did. It has an expression pedal on the right side that acts as volume control on some settings, making great use as a killswitch or "swells." It also can be used as a wah or a whammy pedal. There are so many presets on this thing it'll make your head spin. Everything from metal to country to jazz to blues. There are numerous amp models on the pedal, including the old Fender amps, Marshalls, and many many more. It also models several stompboxes. It features a nice, realistic drum machine ranging from blues beats, hiphop beats, rock, metal, and even world with bongos. There is even a bass emulator. It also features a looper and computer compatibility. If you're a distortion lover like me, there are plenty of options for that as well. You can customize any channel. I started completely from scratch with one of my custom channels that I am very proud of. You can have a lot of fun, hours of it, just tweaking with your sound. I'd recommend the RP255 to any guitarist out there.

I've played through Accusednut69's Digitech pedal several times. It sounds great and I could waste a whole day just playing around with the different sounds. An advantage with the multieffects processor is that for the price of one high quality pedal with one effect, you can buy a pedal that gives you many different effects.

Buy a Tube Screamer. The TSD9X is a great model. I use a TS with a Fulltone OCD.

My favorite D pedal by far for my strat has to be the Visual Sound Open Road.

Since you posted your question in both forums, I will answer in both, however the answer is the same.
I can appreciate it when people try, but when somebody invents the "magic" pedal that makes you sound like your ultimate guitar hero let me know. Building your tone is about not only your gear, but about how you play and the emotion you put into it. I wish it were as easy as many want it to be, but sorry folks, there is no magic Mayer pedal, or a magic Gilmour pedal, claton, beck, etc...etc. If your on a budget and can't afford a pedalboard full of pedals, you should look into a multi effect as a start. There are plenty of them outthere, I can't give too much advice on multi digital effects, as I have all analog pedals.

Funny I just sold mine...it did way more than I could ever figure out! I prefer my analog pedals.
