Well, they had maple necks with Ebony fretboards, none came with a 1 piece maple neck.

Hi,

It's that guitar you're drooling around?

Unless you swap the ebony neck for an all-maple from a Plus or Deluxe Plus, or wire the latter as an Ultra!

Because they don't allow direct linking.

Nope, can't see his links at all. Everyone else's work fine. Oh well. I know how to post my own when my new Apple keyboard arrives and I am not restricted to this iPad...

No, Fender never made an Ultra with a maple neck. In the case of the guitar in question, it is a Plus with Ultra wiring (pickguard) and if one had a real Ultra body with a flamed maple top and back then someone replaced the neck. When I saw this, I thought it was one I built. But after checking my records I never did one with a plain white pickguard. To see some the Plus' i converted to Ultra wiring, check out:

"Double Ultra" denotes an HSH (humbucker/single coil/humbucker) or HH (humbucker/humbucker) configuration while "Triple Ultra" refers to an HHH (humbucker/humbucker/humbucker) layout with three humbucking duallies.

All these configurations will come with a 3-way toggle switch for each humbucker.

@Xhefri

Did you ever make a "Triple" Ultra build with three Lace Sensor humbuckers and a trio of 3-way toggles in an HHH config? Because I saw customized Pluses with the so-called "Double Utra" wiring featuring an HSH configuration and a pair of 3-way toggles for coil-tap/split.

Here's the so-called "Triple Ultra" wiring scheme I'm talking about (guitar is not mine, has three Seymour Duncan humbuckers with 3-way toggles for coil splitting/tapping).
