What do you think of the ESP guitars?
I believe they bought out or were bought out by another similar company.
I forget their name. What do you know? Toppscore :)

Hmm... It sounds really great. When I'm playing sloppy on my Jackson, I put it down and pick up the ESP . I have it set for C# right now though. The neck profile is really thin and even though it has medium or vintage frets, for some reason it plays. It kind of reminds me of a SD Charvel pointy neck, kinda a D shape. My Jackson is more of a thin C shape, the Fender is a like a fat C shape. It's the only guitar I've had that didn't have jumbo frets that I've really enjoyed.

Dang. I wish I could remember who "I THINK" ESP is involved with.
I am remembering a guitar company that starts with a "W".
We shall see. I have wondered about them and ESP. Toppscore

The neck on mine is one of the replacement necks they made with the ESP ink stamp on the heel and ESP die pressed to the back of the headstock like the Kramers were, if I recall correctly. The logo is aftermarket. Supposedly early 80's neck.

Washburn? I have no idea.

Kramer, LTD, Navigator & Schecter
are the names I have seen on EBay who are associated with ESP.
Just interested. Toppscore :)

Oh that's what you meant.

The other ESP brand names are LTD, Navigator, Edwards and Grass Roots. They're also affiliated or distribute Italia, Lakland and VIP guitars. (from the ESP Japan site) They've been an OEM manufacturer for Robin, Kramer, Aria and dozens of others I'm sure...

Guess getting an ESP or LTD is nothing to fear. They should know their stuff.

Which lines besides Schecter would you consider their "Top of High Quality Models"?
The product lines artists would not be embarrassed to be seen with or photographed
on stage with?

At one time, I was strongly considered a particular Schecter. Toppscore :)

New member here, came by from a google search looking for one of these again, Stunning strat!, as you say, they were produced as a limited run, I was actually going to buy one many months ago but the price put me off, around £900!! to the U.K. iirc at the time and yours is the first to appear outside Japan(I'm assuming you live in the U.S,). Anyway, it's good to hear about great build quality and the 'chunky/U-shape neck profile is a bonus imho. The only thing I'd have liked to have seen on these would be the MIJ Sambora or American Deluxe type of neck join/body contour but still, such a nice clean Strat design. I've had a quick look around the Japanese sites(tho' limited knowledge of these may be restricting searches!) but none seem to come up for sale, I'm now wishing I'd pulled the trigger on one!, if you ever think of selling let me know pls! :D

Sorry, didn't see this earlier... Schecter isn't an ESP brand as far as I know. ESP and Navigator are ESP's high-end and are MIJ only, with the exception of some LTD Artist Sig guitars that get an ESP logo.

I don't know how to answer that. Everyone has different tastes. I'd be embarrassed playing a PRS or a Daisy Rock guitar on stage... but I'd have no problem playing my el-cheapo partscaster. I wouldn't be embarrassed playing any guitar that I actually liked.

Yeah, searching around, I only found pictures of one other. While Fender USA does high number FSR's, Japan's FSO's usually seem to average 25, but I've seen them as low as 10 so I have no idea how many of these were actually made. There's no mention of the number on the blog that announced them. Fender Japan never responded to my emails in both English or Japanese. Someone at Musicland Key in Japan probably knows but finding them might be difficult.

I'd consider selling it, but it's the only maple fretboard guitar I've ever enjoyed. I have a few other guitars that I actually do need to sell before I consider getting rid of this one. I changed over the hardware to black chrome to better suit my tastes.

Now these are a nice set of strats here. They have that natural, organic, & modern look to them. Martha Stewart would be proud!

If I remember right. those were a dealer order for Key Gakki in Shibuya about a year or so ago. Maybe a little longer. I went there and tried one out. It wasnt bad by any means just wasnt exactly what I was looking for. I found something more along the lines of what I wanted a few months later.

Anyways. I do remember that there was a delaer order of several single H fenders with floyds that Key Gakki had ordered and I would suspect that the white one you have listed here is one of them. I dont recall how many they had but say soemwhere between 10 and 20 maybe. The neck if I remember was also a compound maybe. Its beena while so Im not going to swear to the information I provided here only that it is the best I remember and that it was Key Gakki that had the run of those.

Yeah, that all sounds correct. Thanks for the confirmation though!
