I have recently added to my collection the above guitar. The serial number is on the neck backplate with a large F engraved on it and under that the serial number 266005.
I have taken off the neck and found a large RI (by hand) with 14 May 69 stamped in black on the neck by the truss rod adjustment.
The body has 16 May 69 stamped on it again with hand written large RI which I assume means Reissue.
The bridge has Fender Fender stamped on all string guides.
The electics remind me of a Japanese Aerodyne that I onced owned. They do not look of the American standard of pots or pickups to me. The pickups look like they have flat magnets on the base of them. I am absolutely mystified by this one! The Japanese did make a reissue of a 69 Strat but I think it's a Sunburst and Rosewood Fretboard. Can anybody clear this mystery up for me please?
