I'm considering about installing some Schaller Locking tuners on my Fender American standard (liek ones on the american deluxe models) . Is there any drilling needed, cause I really dont wanna do such things to my brand new guitar.
I'm thinking about putting those tuners and changing the nut into the bone nut cause of the tuning problems when using tremolo a lot.
What's your oppinion abut that, is it worth of it?

As long as they're the Fender Schallers, they will drop right in. As for the nut, you may want to consider a graphite nut if you're planning on a lot of trem use.

The Fender Shaller locking tuners are the bomb... I have them on my American deluxe and they are my favorite!

hi uros55.... you might wanna read this topic HERE (<-clicky) and see the images i included of the Schallers F tuners....if your standard sre of similar base then it should be relatively easy to install.

Perhaps you might wanna take out one tuner from your Standard and make a comparison...hope that helps you dude.

Good luck
