if your looking for vintage Strat tone with a little more kick, they are great pickups.

You might already know that the James Burton Tele uses the Blue, Silver, Red Lace Sensors? Really a different tone than the TXS.....

Fender themselves use a Texas special In the bridge of their customshop deluxe stratocaster, and cs69s in neck and middle, so if your theory is correct, they would have to have the middle texas special in the bridge position of that guitar, as the cs69 middle in that guitar is RW/RP, but that seems odd, as the reading on that particular bridge pickup matches a std texas special bridge pickup and not a middle texas special pickups, Maybe they just wired it normal in that instance, like they have wound some cs9s rw/rp in the middle position on some customshop models, as the after market cs69s are not rw/rp

I remember reading that when SRV's was set up he had the middle Texas Special rw/rp.

I can recheck my source if needed.

Texas Specials are already RWRP for the middle.

Interesting. Didn't think LS's were wound as such. Always thought their design was completely different.
