This looks like a very poor copy to me.

Fender Deluxe Strat Natural - $500 (N.W. PHX)

It doesn't look like a Fender. Looks like a poor fake.

Bogus. A cheap knockoff of an Imperial Storm Trooper Squier.

"You don't need to see this Strat's identification -- this isn't the Strat you're looking for."

No, that's real but it's not a Deluxe -- it was called the "Lite Ash Stratocaster". (There was also a Lite Ash Tele.) They just said "Fender" on the head -- some had spaghetti logos, others had brush-stroke logos.

The camera angles make the body and head shapes look a little weird, but the logo, abalone dots, bird's eye maple neck, Duncans, etc all are correct for the Lite Ash model. Fender had them built in Korea -- I forget if it was Samick or Cort.

Oddly, most of them weren't particularly light weight and some were boat anchors.

I agree with strayedstrater - Lite Ash Strat. The only real Fender that looks more fake than a fake IMHO.

+1 And the two I have seen in person, boat anchor doesn't even come close...these were 25 Anniversary Strat heavy!

My 25th Anniversary Strat weighed over fifteen pounds!

It never left the house for the seven years I owned it. That is, until the day I shipped it off in partial trade for my '62 re-issue Les Paul.

GOOD RIDDANCE!
