Which one guys, Fender American Deluxe or ESP Vintage Plus? Which one and why? Thanks. I really need help in deciding guys, so speak up, give me your opinions. I needs help.

That's a tough one. Both are nice. I've never tried the ESP but once looked into it. It has a thin U neck for fast playing. Also it's supposed to have that aged look. The American Deluxe, on the other hand has an asymmetrical neck. It changes contour from the top to the bottom so that bottom area gives you ease of play and is more comfortable. I tried the AM Deluxe and I would buy one if I had the chance.

As far as pickups go, I recall the Vintage Plus having Seymour Duncan, which are supposed to sound very vintagey and bell-like. The AM Deluxe has the N3 noiseless pickups with the S1 switching system which is supposed to make you go from parallel to series, making it sound like either a humbucker or single coil. Not true vintage sounding, but still sound good.

The build quality on both are great. I know ESP does a nice job with their guitars. My son has an ESP LTD cheapo (by price alone) guitar that he picked up for 150.00 and the dam thing is amazing. On the other hand, Fender speaks for itself. Also depends on what you want it to say on your headstock? Fender or ESP

Personally I would pick the AM Deluxe because I tried it, but it will ultimately be up to you and you can't go wrong with either one. If you into that neoclassical metal, like Yngwie, I think I would lean towards the ESP. Fender will probably hold it's value more over time. Good luck with your decision.
