That little peice of crap meddallion and it's gold foil 50th anniversary sticker, have caused more trouble than they are worth.

That little bit of metal doesn't mean anything or increase the value of the guitar, and I wouldn't worry about it. It was put on every Fender instrument in 2006.

On the other hand if you're trying to find one for your own piece of mind then I'd go on ebay.

Arjay did you replace the FENDER Klusons on that guitar for REAL KLUSON DELUXES? If so was it a direct drop in replacement?

Yes I did and yes they are, at least up through the 2006 model year. When Gotoh was supplying Fender's vintage-style tuners the headstock hole dimensions were identical with those required to install the Kluson bushings. When FMIC switched to the cheaper (and inferior) Ping replicas, they required a larger hole which means oversize bushing must be used or the holes shimmed to accommodate the standard Kluson bushing.

Hey kiddo, did you still need one of those medallions?

I found one in the bottom of one of my parts bins -- PM me and I'll arrange to send it along.
