Firstly, hello to everyone.

I picked up a guitar yesterday, from a friend that owns a music shop. He doesn't know much about it, since he was given it by a rep. I paid £160 for the guitar, some spare Ernie Balls, two guiar leads and some picks.

I'd ideally like to know a little bit about that guitar. Google hasn't been my friend and I can't seem to find anything that resembles my guitar. I don't even know what the name of the colour is.

So, the headstock says Squier, with made in Korea underneath the logo. Stratocaster by Fender.
Serial Number S1011404. I can't find any info about the serial.
On the bottom of the neck, there is gold sticker with '33.2002.980' on it.

Any info would be nice. Thanks in advance.

Built by Samick in 2010. I didn´t know they are still making them.

Cheers,
Robin

Is this a good or bad thing?

Also, do you think I have paid too much? He's a good friend, so I won't mind talking to him about it.

Thanks for the reply.

Ah, lovely. Do you think I've got a good deal? I don't really know too much about guitars, I bought it to start learning.

IMO, the Korean made Squiers are the best Squiers made. It looks great, and if it feels good and sounds good to you, it is a good deal. Not sure of the conversion rate, but I would say that approx $200 US is pretty good for this apparently new guitar.
