Hey Folks, I bought a mexican strat off ebay for $300. They guy said it had Fat 50 pickups in it. It plays great, and for what I wanted to spend, I thought I got a fair deal.

My question is: Is there any way to tell if the Fat 50s are actually installed on the guitar?

The Fat '50s set features a RW/RP middle pickup. Its lead-in wires will be yellow and black (instead of the standard white and black). The poles on all three pickups will have the traditional Strat stagger.

On mine they say Custom Shop on the back of them and they also have Blue, Red, and Yellow(?) dots on one of the pole pieces. I only looked at them once when I got my guitar back. The next time I change strings I will look again.
