I bought a MIM Strat last year but I just recently noticed that it there is a "pin" on the headstock with a diamond and 60 in the middle. Is there something special about this guitar? The guitar serial # is MZ5124934. thanks

The medallion commemorates the 60th anniversary of Fender's founding.

Thanks arjay. So is it just a pin commemorating the milestone or were these guitars made differently?

They put these stickers or medaillions on every guitar in every ten years.
There's 40th, 50th and 60th.
There's soon gonna be the 70th anniversary.
