i'm a big fan of the blues (musically and chromatically). my faves are electron blue, lake placid blue, and agave blue, with black pickguards.

Olympic white and three tone sunburst, although I saw a beautiful colour (non standard) which was a see-thru green burst over a natural finish it was gorgeous!

white strats are beautiful. especially after they've aged a little.

the top 3 are white, black, and sunburst. those are the best classic colors.

also, surf green, and even some gold strats are real nice too.

I've been in love with Hendrix's white Strat with the maple fingerboard and w/b/w pickguard guitar that he used in Woodstock. I almost bought the American Standard in this configuration until I saw the vintage white American Deluxe which I ended up jumping on. It's in the pic below :)

Mine: classic 2 color burst with gold hardware.

Other than that surf green is pretty nice.

Sunburst.
With black pickguard.

But most colours work for me.
(Although I'm not a fan of the tortoiseshell & ivory style pickguards.
I prefer single colour pickgaurds (single or tri-ply)

All my guitars have always been black. Not that I've done this on purpose it just seems that when I go to buy a new guitar I always pick the black one. Funny thing though I bought a new accoustic, natural spruce top, and everybody, even my wife flipped out. All wanted to know why I didn't get a black one. I didn't realize it was such a big deal. But from now on they will always be black guitars
