Arnold. Have you put it all back together to a player guitar?
Did you get all you wanted from that sell?

Pictures please?

Toppscore :)

haven't had a lot of time unfortunately with work and all. Instead of using all those parts to build on that stripped mess of lumber(actually the neck wasn't too bad, but he did a hack job on the body) I used some of the hardware to complete my black strat project. I will post pics hopefully of that in the next day or so, just finished it last night. Still have a lot of sanding on that other body to smoothe it out. I may do a dye job on it instead of painting, saw some cool videos on dyeing wood, and love how you can get some really deep colors with dyes. Just have to pick a color.

Will the deep dark dyes allow for the grain to show or will the dye be like a dull paint?

from what I've seen, it really brings the grain out. spent a few hours sanding the body last night, will experiment with dyes on some bare wood scraps to see what happens.

Too bad you cannot "dip & drip".
Into a bucket and let the amp drip-dry.
Will dyes act like stains with needed time for rubbing it in?

As far as i have found out, when using water or alcohol based dyes, should dry out for 1 hour between applications. The trick is with the clear coat because they contain solvents, so you have to get a thin coat of shellac on there, before you clear, or all the dye will just dissolve. Definately a trick to it, but I like the results I've seen

Today, I just got in my 1994 Fender Custom 1962 Reissue Jaguar.
I am strongly considering repainting it to a
Dreary Deep Forest Dark Shadow Midnight Green ~ a Black Dark Green that is so mesmerizing that audiences who gaze into the Jaguar's body will fill the tip jar.
