I order a new fender stratocaster standard mail order, there is nothing wrong with it, everything is fine, but i didn't receive a key for the truss rod and a tremelo arm , are they standard and come with the purchase, The place where i bought it said they would call me back today to let me know if i will receive a gig bag which was advertised on there web sight. Its no big deal i can get my own key and tremelo . just wondering! i'll let you know what happens.

If it has a tremolo, it should definitely come with a trem arm!
I never received a key with my new guitars, except for Ibanez and some used Fenders.

No, wait, I got keys with my 2002 American Hot Rodded Texas Special and my 2007 American Deluxe!

What you are "supposed" to get with a new guitar purchase changes with the price range. You get more and better stuff when you buy a new American as compared to a Korean. The problem is that even though Fender ships these things with the guitars ... the store buying them will frequently sell all the items separately, particularly the cases. This is how they can offer a lower price because they are making some of it back on the sale of the parts.

A smart person can show a copy of the store's advertisement page in the flyer that quotes the price for the new guitar (while standing at the cash register at the time of purchase) and also produce a printed page from the Fender Product Web Page for the particular guitar quoted in the ad showing what it comes with and demand the items be included.

Pretty awesome they called me today and said they will ship me the gig bag. It was advertised on the web site, I think it had to do with the store, but its all the little thing you get from the purchase from Fender that make it feel special. I love my strat!!![][/img] It feels very special in my heart, very personal, now that the guitar is mine. Just like to thank Fender for all the little things that make the purchase special. Just for laughs I'm glad she can't cheat on me , she is the only thing that will stay true to me!!
