Hey Folks,

Been a while since i've been on these forums. Just wanted to thank everyone for all the help and suggestions regarding the purchase of my first guitar. I originally had purchased a SSS olympic white strat, but eventually brought it back. It played like a dream, just wasn't covering the harder rock i was looking to get out of it, and instead of replacing the bridge pu with a stacked humbucker, i decided to return it for an hss to go with the traditional HB.

Although the HSS may not be the "true" strat setup in the eyes of purists I found that for the style of music i want to play, it is for me. Only problem was finding the one that just felt right. which took me a while as i wasn't going to settle on something. After a long and ardous 5 months i have stumbled upon the perfect guitar for me with the 2012 update. This thing plays like a dream. Custom 50's sound great, really warm sound (to me anyway, not that i know all that much) and the new jade pearl color is really nice in person. Much nicer that any picture online suggests. Don't have any pics as the guitar is being set up for me, but I will post as soon as I get this baby back in my hands!

How hot is the Humbucker? Im thinking of getting this... Also, is the color misleading on the internet?
