I will be getting a Fender American 2012 Standard Stratocaster in Candy Cola with a Maple Fingerboard. Additionally, I am planning to change the pickups to something else, and currently it is to change the bridge to a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails, and the Neck to a Seymour Duncan Cool Rails. I want a guitar that is very versatile and can do up to hard rock. Additionally, I want the bridge pickup to sound bright and have high output for that kind of stuff. Will current plan be fine, or should I look at other stuff? Any suggestions?

That rig should be fine - I'm not sure about just how bright the Duncan hot rails is but it would give you a very versitile set up.

Since you're going to swap out the pickups I would consider picking up a 2011-spec American Standard instead - there should be a few of them still around and they would be at least $100 less than the 2012s and may well be on a close-out price. There are no functional differences between the 2011 and 2012 other than the really big one - the 2012s have Fender CS Fat 50s pickups (and that jade green color is new for 2012). Of course that is only if you plan didn't include selling off the Fender CS pickups to pay for the replacements.

Yeah, but, I am leaving one single coil fat 50's in the mid position.

Sorry, I read through your post too quickly and though you were changing the neck and middle to the cool rails.

No problem, it's okay! But, that gives me an idea... Should I have a Seymour Duncan Vintage Rails in the middle?
Meaning it would be:
Neck: Seymour Duncan Cool Rails
Middle: Seymour Duncan Vintage Rails
Bridge: Seymour Duncan Hot Rails
On seymour duncan's website "for an extremely versatile guitar use (pickup combination stated above)."
