Considering your experience, I have the feeling that you could change your strings faster than I can mine. 8)

+1 * Man, six strings in 300 seconds = one per/fifty seconds plus tuning.
You gotta go for the Olympics with that speed.
Just let your drummer to an "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" solo
for a day or two while you're busy changing to new "set" of strings

5 Mins would be under duress but yes on thinking again about it....50 Sec to thread snip wind stretch and tune quickly 3 times 1 string.....That's reasonable for sure....God bless string winders.....

I say, "FORGET THE SNIPPING" . . . .
Chicks DIG LOOSE HANGING WIRE.

Real Men do not get IT SNIPPED

A solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Great. Cheers, David
Dunno what kind of locking tuners you have but the ones on my Deluxe are just like I described. A horizontal hole in the shaft where you lead the strings through, lock with the wheel in the back and cut off the strings at the pole, resulting in a string end poking out.
So yes, my solution helps an EXISTING problem. Cut, retreat a little, lock, tune!

I wish I had your problems ... JEEZ!!!!!! :o :( :o :o

Ya think different locking tuner manufacturers produce locking tuners
that have different locking procedures on how to lock your tuners?
I believe my guitars only have Fender and Schaller. What say you?

Dunno how long you've been playing guitar, Whit, but believe me, there's gonna be the day when you start caring about details you like and details you don't like.

If it's not the tuners, it might be something else.

Keep in mind: THERE'S NO STUPID QUESTIONS, THERE'S STUPID ANSWERS ONLY!
And some of those make me(!) go

Especially if such a stupid reaction is the very first post of a forum newbie!
There's way better options to introduce yourself to a forum community.

Do you have a guitar at all?

Yeah, but some people do not know. Love is in the heart.
He wanted to know what others do with stock Fender tuners.

Why the heck would ANYBODY want to play Les Pauls through Marshalls?
