Here's "Stevie", my project #2.

Fender body, Stevie Ray Vaughan signature neck, blue mojo pickguard (I finally wanted to have this on a white Strat again, it was mounted to my very first strat type guitar in 1990 and was laying around since then), 3 x Texas Special single coils from the Fender Custom Shop, Wilkinson trem.

The Texas Specials sound very bright on this guitar and I don't like them very much.
I just ordered Lace Sensor Golds and also think about adding the Buddy Guy (Clapton) mid boost circuit because I love that combination on my American Buddy Guy Strat.

Yes, one evening it simply got me! I grabbed a sharpie and the pickguard and just started in the corner left of the bridge without knowing what the final result would be. 2 hours later it was done and I liked the look. Now the pickguard is protected by a thin layer of clear coat.

It's no Fender, it's a Burns Cobra. Great guitar for small money. I love it!!

Here's a pic of the pickguard when it was mounted to my old Marina strat. Feels like millennia ago *sigh*:
