Sorry if this has already been asked 1000 times. I would like to modify my Fender SP10 amp so that when I plug in headphones, it doesn't mute the speaker. I know this is tricky since there is only one output signal but there's got to be a way.

I want to plug in to the headphone jack to record on my laptop and still be able to monitor the sound on the amp's speaker.

Could someone post a guide or resource to how this could be done? Or flame me for asking a stupid question?

Thanks

Hi jgoulds,

I don't know about a guide, but you could replace or modify the headphone jack, as that is where the switching is that disables the speaker out. Do you have the schematics for the amp?

BTW, you should probably post this in the "Modern Amps" section of the forum, not the guitar section.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
