It was actually the 36th Anniversary that I had in the bridge slot of a strat I was just mentioning on another post. I like the HSS configuration but that's just me... it's retains some strat-like tones, and some humbucker tones. If you're not into the strat tones, then sure, I'm sure it would work out fine. As I mentioned the 36th was great... it split nicely and was pretty well balanced with the other single coils I was using.

Sorry, I didn't mentioned... I'm a big fan of Satriani's tone and also a big fan of Fender Strats. As I researched about this, these pickups might nail the sound that I want...
