Okay, you guys like pictures and I just got a new camera. So, I figured you might enjoy some pictures of my favorite Strat, my Shoreline Gold Classic Players 50's. I got this one a few years ago new, after watching it hang there in the store and get marked down, marked down again, marked down again.. until I got it $549. Actually, the figuring on the neck looked amazing and I couldn't understand why it lasted there in the store so long. Anyway, it is now my favorite Strat. It's completely stock except for the tortoise shell pickguard... There's nothing else I'd want to change on this Strat. The pickups are perfect for that vintage Strat sound...

Enjoy!

OG101...Nice guitar, sweet looking amp, and well done on the photography! I have noticed quite a few of the Classic Series guitars have had some very nice figuring on the necks...here is my 60s Classic's headstock and it too has some very nice figuring that runs about 1/3 the way down the neck...great guitars :!:

OG101......love the gold Strat!!
only reason I can figure it didn't sell quickly may be that not everyone likes "retro-vibe"??
that guitar has it in spades!

OG101...I believe you are right...I wonder if its because these are basically MIM top of the line guitars or have we just been lucky dudes?

Hope your playing yours like you stole it...I sure have been doing that to my 60s CAR one!

I got lucky a couple months ago, I found a Classic Player 60's strat used that was in Mint condition, for $300 because the store took it in thinking it was just a MIM Standard... Needless to say, the Custom Shop Abigail Ybrarra initialed pickups were sweet!
