Well, the body appears to be legit: CTS pots, Oak-Grigsby switch, pickups appear to be Custom Shop 50's, looks like Olympic White. Odd that the neck would be replaced. Maybe it was damaged or the seller liked this neck better. Who knows.

Hey Bill...yes it is Olympic White....was'nt a scratch or pick mark on it,,,pick guard screws removed like they have not been out before too...glad the inside parts helped to I.D. the body..the neck once removed was clearly marked October 2004...
the neck from the 2012 American Standard was on a different Stratocaster the seller building, with dual P-90's?,,,it was the 2004 American Deluxe body ,,,the dude had a bunch of strats. taken apart..only thing I did'nt get was the trem. arm
Thank you again for your concern and help!

Just bought my first real Stratocaster today! it is a 2012 American Standard body and an older American Deluxe Neck,, why someone would do this, I don't know? But I got a great deal!, plays and sounds amazing!!!..looking over the the specs. on the the American Standard body, It lists: "Special Electronics: No-Load Tone Control"! what does this mean?? I did notice at full open or at the "10" position,, there feels like a lock or set feeling? maybe true bypass in that area???
but my question is: what does "No-Load Tone Control" mean????
Thank you!

Special Electronics:
""""No-Load Tone Control""""
Controls:
Master Volume, Tone 1. (Neck Pickup), Tone 2. """No-Load Tone Control""" (Middle and Bridge Pickups)

Exactly what its says... When the tone control is open, there is no load or in other words, the pickup is being bypassed through the tone control as if it wasn't there.
