Best part about Fenders, they were made for parts swapping. Go with what works best for you.

One mans trash will always be another's treasure.... Aesthetics will always be subjective... To my eyes you downgraded that lovely sonic blue strat with the maple neck and that pick guard my god did that do a cameo in my big fat Greek wedding??? How do you play that? With dark glasses on?? I had to put sunnies on to read this thread....

Pickguard is what came with...not on me, yes that will be remedied with a mint green. I still like the maple neck better.

So on a whim I called the guy I bought it from to see if he had the original pickguard, He said He thought it was in the gig bag he gave with it, if not then he doesn't know. Off I go to search, WALA! Turns out it wasn't the neck that was bugging me, it was the glod pickguard with the rosewood that was bugging me! So after swapping back to the original mint green pickguard, I threw the rosewood neck back on, and I kinda likes it! FOR NOW!

Still need to put strings, and do a proper setup. previous owner did not treat her well. Needed a lot of cleaning, replaced the saddles due to bad rust issue, but for $250 I think i did very well! Thanks for the input.
